This a national town meetings by telephone conference call. There are about 100 locations in the U.S. Usually, In about 75 minutes we have a legislative update, grassroots shares, and briefings from expert guest speakers, usually members of Congress or professionals in international development. After the call, you are encouraged to stay and practice speaking the issues and take the monthly action.
Guest Speaker: Jeffrey D. Sachs (bio), director of The Earth Institute at Columbia University. Dr. Sachs has been a frequent guest with RESULTS and is key visionary on poverty and disease eradication.
Topic: Responding to the announcement of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria that there will be no funding for new programs until 2014, and the RESULTS strategy for 2012.
